Horn-rimmed
Horn-rimmed glass originated in Europe in the 1800's, the frames were actually made from tortoise shell and were expensive. And in 1910's, horn rimmed glasses became popular in the United States. Harold Lloyd, who was a famous American silent comedian, brought horn-rimmed glasses to the mainstream.

Tinted

James Ayscough began experimenting with tinted lenses in spectacles around 1752. 

Inexpensive mass-production of sunglasses started in 1929 when Sam Foster introduced them to America. These sunglasses were made to protect people's eyes from the sun's rays.

Polarized sunglasses first became available in 1936, when Edwin H. Land began using his patented Polaroid filter when making sunglasses.

The template for rimless eyeglasses date back to the 1820's, when an Austrian inventor named Johann Friedrich Voigtländer marketed a rimless monocle.

Over-sized sunglasses first became popular in the 1960's when women purchased them to mimic the ones famously worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. ... They have recently made a comeback once again in the 21st century and their popularity is largely due to fashionistas like Paris Hilton.

Salvino D'Armate probably invented eyeglasses in around 1285, though various sources suggest an earlier origin. He shared the invention of his new device with Allesandro della Spina, an Italian monk, who made it public and is often credited with inventing eyeglasses.

The first wearable glasses known to history appeared in Italy during the 13th century. Primitive glass-blown lenses were set into wooden or leather frames (or occasionally, frames made from animal horn) and then held before the face or perched on the nose.
